Hi all. Thought about posting this in Cell phone talk, but since this number applies to Macs, iPads, and all things Apple, thought I'd post it here. Not sure how widely publicized this is, so the phone number to Apple's accessibility department is: 877-204-3930.

Keep in mind, this is only for stuff related to vision things like VoiceOver or low vision settings, hearing settings, etc. It's not meant for general issues with Apple devices. I just talked to a rep from there who was actually more knowledgeable than any of the general reps I've spoken to, even about things that did not concern the original VoiceOver problem I called about.

He suggested that if people were seeing bugs with VoiceOver or other accessibility, they call the accessibility line to report it so it could be sent up the chain, as well as report it at:
http://www.apple.com/feedback

His words were that the more people that banged on the doors in more than one place, the more likely change was to get made. Very true, so I hope those who are having problems with VoiceOver and iO"S7, and whatever else will do so.

Thanks for this. I knew about the number because I got great help for my mac and was very impressed with the knowledge they had and they were so interested in learning what I knew too and even learning more about me doing things i do and learning a bit from me. I happened to menchin about playing games on RS and not on the playroom while asking about VMWare... because it is a non visual game cliant, the guy said he might have his team start to play games on it to help them learn to use the computers without looking at a faster paste. They apparently are suppose to learn to use it just like we do, with no site.

I am glad to see that they are working so hard with us for this. It makes things exciting because then I hope the next steps will be for other things starts to follow too.

Yes, they are doing well. They can't solve everything right away, but it is good to know they are dealing. I used them once on the 5S, so hoping my issue will be solved with the next release of the OS.
The rep actually got a phone and tried the move.
With new toys, it seems they aren't created equal for about 4 months, because some issues I've seen reported I simply don't have, others others don't and it is a toss up between device and softwear.

thanks for this, Alicia. I'll be adding it to my phone, just in case I ever need to use it.
